Scavenger Hunt. April 21, 2012

Well, I have news about our adoption process.  For those who don't know HERE is the link for our wildest journey.

Anyway, we finished our homestudy, and sent our paperwork to Colombia in a record time. Things were a little uncertain, as two families were trying to adopt the same girl. The anxiety and expectations were so overwhelming. I really tried to avoid conversations about the girl, and also did not want to put any more expectations on Z, that was calling N "sister", since he met her.
I did not expect that the process would be that hard emotionally... the waiting....the requirements.... the seminars... conference calls... social worker visits... and paper work... the dreams... the desires.... on top of trying to just live as normal as possible with a mind packed.

But last Tuesday,  we received an email from the Colombian side of the process, saying that our letter of intent to adopt that specific child, was accepted.

WOW !!!!

Did I read that right?...  What did that mean?...  Really?... Now what?...

I still don't know how to feel, as we still have tons of paper work to be completed, before the process is finalized.  But, I believe that everything will turned out just fine.

So, from meeting Miss N in January and fell in love with her... to make one of the biggest decision in our lives.... Today,  We are parents again.
That brings back all the butterflies that I had when Z was born.  Miss N  is older,  and we will have a different set of challenges to deal with, but the idea of "wanting to be a good enough mother" is still the same,  and also the happiness and joy.

Thank you all for the prayers and support. We still need a lot of support and I do count on you to spread the word, and keep praying.

Here is my hunt for this week.

1. Yellow
found this location close to UCI and fell in love with the colors. I really want to go back there.

2. Something that make me smile
one of those not so technically correct images, but when you see this early in the morning, that makes your heart smile.

3. Antique
the Pepsi Crate that we use for our books on Z's room.

4. Splash
             a little splash of blue.

5. In the sun
taking from my son's window early in the morning.
