Twelve Feelings.... LOVED

loved  past participle, past tense of love (Verb)

1. To have a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward (a person): We love our parents. I love my friends.
2. To have a feeling of intense desire and attraction toward (a person).
3. To have an intense emotional attachment to

We have always heard that love starts with you, and if you don't love yourself, you cannot give love. But still, and we are constantly looking for love, and the amazing feeling of being loved.
Since day one in our lives, when we felt safe and peaceful at our mother's arms, the necessity of being loved is what moves us.
At a very young age we know exactly what to do to make others love us... we make cute sounds....goofy faces... we give smiles...hugs.... and we learn how to say "I love you"  back.
Time passes, and we keep doing things to be loved.
We search for a soul mate...we date...we separate...we look a little further...till we find that someone who makes all seems just right.
Then we have kids...and the whole idea about being loved changes.... being loved this time, transforms you...it feels different...it feels like a part of you. Then on this moment you understand that "this being loved feeling" should always come from within, like a child that grows inside you and invade your life in a way that cannot be explained, even before she is born...
We then realize that being loved should always starts by nourishing yourself...making yourself happy first...and then let every one else add to this amazing feeling of being loved. All because we understand that our happiness works like a mirror to our children and reflects back to us, bringing so much joy.
This is not an easy task and in the process, we put everyone else as a priority, and we ended up on the background. We still full of love and all the feelings that comes with it,  but at the same time a little lonely, missing ourselves.
So my point is, we should always try to put ourselves in the picture and connect to our inner self.... and even if the image still a little blurry, be patient to yourself.... it will come to you.

  1. Gosh, Val...what you wrote is so true! The part when you wrote: we put everyone else as a priority, and we ended up on the background..I can totally relate to that. I don't mind being in the background but like you said we need to connect to our inner self as well. Your image speaks perfectly of your words. I am such a sucker of oof image and I so love this, Val. <3
